Apparently not. I need two more.
I’ve mentioned before that one of my goals for 2009 is to share more signal and less noise. This has lead me to Twitter less, only trying to share useful stuff and less ranting. I have also started to blog more in the hopes of sharing more case studies and experiences I’ve had with social media.
It’s to that end that I’ve created two new separate blogs. n00bunt00, The trials and learnings for a Linux n00b and HyperBored, Sharing my learnings about life, being ADHD and stuff..
I started n00bunt00 I’ve been playing around with Ubuntu for about 1 1/2 yrs and have been teaching myself some basic programming (HTML/CSS and a little PHP). To me these are creative activities that help me “exercise my mind.” I have come to realize that
- Many of you may not care about OpenSource software, Linux and programming. This is after all a marketing blog
- Those of you who have a mild interest in it probably don’t want to hear about my progress and increased posting on the issue. If you are a true g33k and want a good laugh at my expense you can always grab the seperate feed for that site.
I’ve actually had the HyperBored blog for a little while. I recently had to start it over because of my failed attempts at upgrading from an older version of WordPress (part of the reason for n00bunt00). This blog is much more a personal blog and I almost didn’t share it here. The site has two purposes:
- Collect everything else that doesn’t go on any of my other blogs
- Share my experiences and learnings bieng ADHD
I’ve never been shy about the fact that I’m ADHD, I’m actually kind of proud of it. But there are some darker mental moments. Fears, frustrations and anger and I share some of those on this blog.
I started these blogs for the same reason as I started this blog. Blogging helps me think. It makes me smarter and I really enjoy the creative process of blogging. However, unlike this blog, I’m not trying to get more readership. I only mention it here so that the 1 or 2 of you who are interested in these other parts of my life can follow along.
